Event April 26: Ready to make a difference? Investing in an EU career

The Swedish Council for Higher Education together with the European Personnel Selection Office invites students and others interested in EU careers to an information meeting at Stockholm University.

Do you feel strongly about the EU and its future? Do you want to make a difference and influence the daily lives of Europeans? The EU institutions can offer you the chance of a lifetime.

The European personnel selection office (EPSO), the European Commission and UHR invite anyone studying or studying at a university to an event to learn more about EU career opportunities.

Program

  • 16:00-17:00 Panel discussion on the possibilities to apply for internships and work in the EU and Q&A with the panel.
  • 17:00-18:00 Mingle where you have the opportunity to meet important people for a future EU career, ask questions and make contacts.

Participating speakers

Minna Vuorio, Director of the European Personnel Selection Office, EPSO, and the European Administrative School, EUSA, talk about the opportunities for traineeships and jobs available in the EU institutions, agencies and bodies and present EPSO's faster, smoother and more accessible model for the selection process.

Eino Örnfeldt, DG of the Swedish Council for Higher Education, talks about the support that the authority can offer for those who want to invest in an EU career.

Cecilia Thorfinn, Head of Communications at the European Commission's Representation in Sweden, talks about her EU career and how EU officials can improve the lives of people in Sweden and within the EU.

Adrian Winbladh, Student Ambassador for EU Careers at Uppsala University, talks about his mission and reflects on the opportunities and obstacles that higher education students see with an EU career.

Elisabeth Geiger Poignant, PhD, senior lecturer at Stockholm University, performs the role of universities in preparing competent and competitive students for an EU career.

Asia Riazantceva, coordinator EU recruitment, Swedish Council for Higher Education, moderates the conversation.
