Astronaut Marcus Wandt visited the Swedish Defence University
On Monday 19 February, Sweden's third astronaut Marcus Wandt visited the Swedish Defence University for a discussion on threats and opportunities in the space domain.
Sverigesalen was packed when Marcus Wandt visited the Swedish Defence University. He began by talking about his trip to the International Space Station (ISS) and answered questions from students and staff.
This was followed by a panel discussion with the Swedish Armed Forces' Space Commander Colonel Ella Carlsson and Christer Nilsson, Deputy Director General of the Swedish National Space Board. Among other things, Marcus Wandt talked about how the cooperation worked on the ISS and which aspects of the officer training he benefited most from during his trip. The discussion was moderated by the Vice-Chancellor of the Swedish Defence University, Robert Egnell.
