Navigating change in the US Marine Corps
This dissertation project studies how and why military organizations change in certain ways. More specifically, it follows how change functions in the US Marine Corps, which is undergoing their Force Design 2030 process.
The project uses a mix of process theory from organizational studies and military innovation theory, exploring the roles of culture, organizational dynamics, external and internal pressures, and the roles of networks and patronage in both driving and shaping change.
