Suanne is a doctor in International Relations (BA in International Relations from Autonomous University of Puebla, Mexico and MSc in Environmental Change and International Development, from the University of Sheffield, UK). Her research focuses on topics linked to justice, global governance and environmental issues. Specific themes include environmental and climate justice, legitimacy and effectiveness, climate and disaster governance and perceptions and participation of marginalised non-state actors in global governance.

Suanne is currently a post-doctoral research fellow seeking to understand the perceptions of justice of marginalised groups (e.g., women, small-scale farmers and Indigenous Peoples) towards climate and disaster governance.

She is also part of the research hub at the ILL Department affiliated with the CNDS (Centre of Natural Hazards and Disaster Science).
