Order interlibrary loans
Order books and articles from another library
If you need a publication or article that is not available in Anna Lindh Library's collection, the library can (with certain restrictions) borrow or purchase a copy from another library inside Sweden or abroad. Expect a delivery time of around 1-2 weeks. If the requested publication is already on loan, the wait could be considerably longer. Delivery times for articles are often shorter.
Who can order
The library orders interlibrary loans for students and staff with a valid library card at the Swedish Defence University and the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters. The general public and students at other institutions of learning should contact their public library or university library for help with interlibrary loans.
What you can order
Each lending library decides what literature it makes available for interlibrary loan, the cost for such a loan, and whether the order is sent as a loan or a photocopy. Generally, course literature, theses and student papers, reference works as well as complete journal issues are excluded from interlibrary loan, although it is usually possible to order copies of individual articles.
The library does not order interlibrary loans for:
- Publications that the library already owns, but are currently on loan
- Fiction for purposes unrelated to research
- Publications that are available at another library in Stockholm County (Stockholms län) that is open to the public. In that case, students themselves will need to obtain the publications directly from the library in question.
