Open access
Open access means that scientific research is made freely available on the internet. Researchers and the general public should be able to read, download, print and disseminate research articles and teaching materials free of charge. The Anna Lindh Library offers support both for making access to books and for financing publication fees.
Publishing agreements for open access to articles
Through publishing agreements with scientific publishers, authors can publish scientific articles with open access without having to bear the cost themselves. ALB has entered into agreements with, among others: Taylor & Francis, SAGE, Cambridge University Press and Elsevier). Search for journals in SciFree below. To take advantage of the agreements, you must:
- Be corresponding authors.
- State your affiliation to FHS in article
Publish open access via DiVA
By publishing your article, report, thesis, etc. in full text via DiVA, the publication becomes openly available to the public.
Open access to monographs, chapters, conference papers or articles outside the agreements
If the journal you wish to publish in is not covered by our agreements, or if you want to make book chapters or monographs openly available, you can apply for funding to cover open access fees.
NB Currently the allocated funds have run out for this year (2024) and it is not possible to apply.
CC Licenses
When you publish with open access, you often have to choose a CC license that regulates how your publication may be used by others.
