Leave from studies
If you want to pause your studies and continue at a later date, you can register leave from studies.
When you register leave from studies, it is important that you specify why you want leave from your studies and, if possible, attach documents that support your reasons with the application.
This is necessary because there are two different types of leave from studies: with or without a guaranteed place.
Your reasons for taking leave from studies determine which kind of leave is appropriate.

Leave from studies without a place guaranteed
If you do not wish to refer to any specific reasons for taking leave from studies, you are not guaranteed a place when you would like to continue your studies. You are then granted leave from studies without a guaranteed place and may only continue your studies subject to availability.
